But anyway, I can’t think of a better camping rig... than the 1996 Camry SE V6 Coupe.
It’s cheaper than anything else I’ve posted; it’s even more disposable than an XJ. It’s FWD so it’ll do “fine” on the gravel forest service roads of Skykomish, and it’s fresh as gosh-darn-heck.
Interior gets dirty? Camry coupe. Smells like wet dog? Camry coupe. Hit a big ass pothole? Camry coupe. Need to cut the utility of a sedan in half? Camry coupe.
Anyway, this is a novel idea, as I have never even acknowledged the greatness of the XV10 coupe before just this moment, just now, and not before at all.

Apparently your post hasn’t been posted yet, even though I can see it (and got a error page before it loaded)

I’m not of a mind that a road paved with gravel is any more significant of an obstacle than a road paved with asphalt.

I propose we hold a “Red Coupe vs. Skykomish” meet.

May I present its ultimate form.

Fuck teh Solara. I HATE when they try to make the 2-door a separate car.
Besides, these coupes look better as simply 2-door versions of their sedan counterparts. For example, the Camry coupe in the
OP is
much more awesome than the fugly Solaras that followed.

Better Camping Rig found, all I had to do was look outside:

I didn’t think I’d ever say this: I would actually buy that Camry.

The Solara is a better car than the Camry though. It loses the convenience of having four doors and probably some interior space but is does everything else better. It makes more power with the same gas mileage, it’s faster thanks to the bigger engine , better handling thanks to better suspension, and more comfortable (due to the VSC and air shocks for grounded to the groundedness ) In many respects it’s more of a ES330 with only 2 doors with a Toyota badge, than the other way around.

This makes me irrationally happy.
